Palvancha (or Palwancha or Paloncha) is a city in Khammam district in the Indian state of Telangana, 290 km east of Hyderabad. It is principally an important industrial centre and is nicknamed the Power City. It is a Mandal headquarters, and a principle Revenue and Forest Divisional headquarters. Kothagudem Thermal Power station (KTPS), Nava Bharat Ventures Limited (NBV) (Formerly known as Nava Bharat Ferro Alloys (NBFA)), Sponge Iron India Limited (SIIL) now with NMDC are the industries here.
